Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden) Junior Faculty
http://info.ki.se/research/juniorfaculty/index_en.html

This career development programme, started in 2002, targets researchers who hold a PhD but do not yet have a tenured position at the university, including postdocs, junior research group leaders, both clinicians and experimental researchers. The programme has proven very successful in identifying all junior researchers working at the Karolinska, as well as to give a sense of belonging to this group. It aims to:
help junior researchers enjoy good career development opportunities both within and outside the university and to feel that their interests are addressed
provide junior faculty with relevant activities to assimilate all the knowledge they need  to become successful researchers
create a sense of belonging
In collaboration with bodies within and outside the university, the Junior Faculty programme offers :
Career counseling for individuals and groups
Mentoring activities
Networking
Courses and seminars on leadership, entrepreneurship, commercialisation, project management, grant writing, scientific writing, panel debates, research publications, etc.
Travel grants
In addition, one of the programme's five full-time employees has developed central registration for postdocs, as well as a postdoc handbook and a template for an agreement.

A steering group of junior researchers helps to direct the programme and also works on national strategic issues such as improved career paths for researchers and improved funding. This includes the creation of a national network with all other medical faculties and their new Junior Faculty offices. It also includes contacts with the media, politicians, etc.
